Icee was our first Siberian Husky.  She arrived at our home in Highlands Ranch in September 1997, and we had no idea how she would change our lives.  Icee had a "typical" Siberian personality, and then some!  She was fun-loving, outgoing, and slightly mischevious.  She loved people, and was convinced that every visitor to our home, kennel, or dog truck, was there specifically to see her!  She greeted everyone with her special high-pitched "woo-woo" and patented "helicopter" tail wagging.  In 1999, we introduced her and our second dog, Kona, to dogsledding, and as they say the rest is history.  She loved to run on the team, though that was rarely more important than checking out the occasional squirrel or rabbit that crossed the team's path!  We considered Icee to be our team "cheerleader," because of her excited singing at the dog truck as we prepared for each run.  Her loss will forever leave a hole in our hearts,  but we will continue to honor her with every run, every romp in the snow, and every day of  happy times with our dogs.
